Tags guide

All stories are tagged with multiple tags. This allows readers to quickly list all stories of a particular character, genre or length they might be interested in.

Note that not all tags listed below may be in use. Note also that the list may be extended in the future.

Character: lists the main characters featured in the story. Will often be the main characters of the fandom.

  • OCs: characters that don’t exist in canon.

Pairing: characters that are romantically involved with each other in the story

Rating: please also see the Ratings Guide

  • General: all audiences
  • Teen: not appropriate for young children
  • Adult: mature audiences only

Story length:

  • Drabble: exactly 100 words, not counting the title
  • Short-short: between 100 – 2.000 words in length
  • Short story: 2.000 – 15.000 words
  • Novella: 15.000 – 50.000 words
  • Novel: over 50.000 words

Story type:

  • PWP: plotless erotica aka all about the pr0n. Rated Adult by default
  • Casefic: a story revolving about (solving) a case
  • Coda/Missing scene: stories tagged on to an episode, like a missing scene
  • Crossover: mixes characters, settings and/or events from other canons with the current canon
  • Vignette: deals with a single subject, often involving a character’s internal dialog rather than action
  • Serialized: several independent stories that together form a series
  • Slash: revolving around the romantic or sexual involvement between two characters of the same gender
  • Het: revolving around the romantic or sexual involvement between two characters of opposite gender
  • Other: what doesn’t fit any of the other story types listed

Time frame:

  • Pre-series: set before the time line of the series
  • Season #: marks the season (for television series)
  • Post-series: set after the timeline of the series
  • What-if: deviates from canon due to an attempt to answer a “What if this happened/didn’t happen?”-question. Closely related to AU
  • AU: set in a different universe from canon. Closely related to what-if stories, but not necessarily based on the road-not-taken theme

Verse: will be used in case of multiple canon sources, like movie adaptations based on books, or for serialized stories set in their own Scribbler verse
